Trekking for all

On Saturday 1 April 2023, Serra San Bruno will host "Trekking for all", a day dedicated to inclusive and accessible tourism.

For the event - organised by the Serre Regional Park Authority and the Regional Association of the Deaf, Ens of Calabria - a trekking route along the Frassati path has been devised with sign language translation: a unique opportunity for people with disabilities to enjoy the beauty the world has to offer.

The programme for the day will be as follows:

8:45 a.m. - Meet at the forecourt of the Charterhouse of Serra San Bruno
10:00 a.m. - departure for guided hike with LIS (Italian Sign Language) interpretation service
11:30 a.m. - welcoming in the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Bosco
1:30 p.m. - lunch at the Trattoria da Rosa restaurant in Spadola
3.45 p.m. - meeting in front of the Church of Our Lady of Sorrows, for the celebration of Holy Mass and for the blessing of the Palms by the Archbishop of the Diocese of Catanzaro-Squillace. The celebration will be translated into sign language.

• The trekking route is 4 km long and takes about 2 hours and 50 minutes; it is also suitable for children
• The cost of lunch is 30€
• To participate, it is necessary to book no later than 27 March 2023, subject to availability of 80 places
