Lovers of cycling in nature will meet again this year in Campotenese, where the Pollino Bike Festival returns on 7 and 8 June, the event dedicated to two wheels that promotes cycling tourism in the heart of Europe's largest mountain area.

The festival is conceived by Catasta, a tourist hub and gateway to the Pollino National Park, bike point of the Pollino cycle route. This monumental structure, made from a ‘’woodpile‘’ of logs, offers all the information you need (as well as unmissable traditional dishes and local products) to make the most of your cycling experience along the park's trails.

Scheduled for the Pollino Bike Festival are a series of events dedicated to those who love cycling, but also to hikers, mountain lovers, foodies, children and explorers. There will be trekking and cycling excursions with official Park guides, mountain bike races for children, tastings and lunches based on specialities and typical products from the Pollino National Park.

The festival, now in its third edition, is organised in partnership with the Marathon degli Aragonesi, organised by Asd Ciclistica di Castrovillari and the sixth stage of the Natural Parks Trophy. The Marathon, which will have Catasta as its base, will be held on 8 June and will also this year attract mountain bikers from other regions, ready to compete on the Pollino.
