A story that intertwines memory, moral tension and tragic irony arrives in Calabria with The Master, written by Gianni Clementi and starring Nancy Brilli, Fabio Bussotti and Claudio Mazzenga, directed by Pierluigi Iorio.

The story begins in 1938, with the enactment of Italian racial laws. In those years, many Jewish citizens entrusted their assets to trusted nominees to protect them from expropriation. This is how Marcello and Immacolata Consalvi suddenly find themselves the owners of four apartments and two shops belonging to their master, who has been captured and deported from Italy.

The war ended, but the wait began. The action takes place in 1956, in a snow-covered Rome. After thirteen years, while the couple had consolidated their new economic and social status, their employer returned to claim what belonged to him.

From that moment on, tension creeps into the couple's life. While Marcello remains bound by a sense of duty and the hope that everything can be put back together, Immacolata is unwilling to give up the stability she has achieved. The fear of losing everything leads them into a spiral of closure and isolation, until an extreme decision triggers a series of twists and turns, culminating in a finale that is as unpredictable as it is unsettling.

The show will be staged on 20 February 2026 at the Cinema Teatro Metropol in Corigliano-Rossano, on 21 February 2026 at the Teatro Comunale in Catanzaro and on 22 February 2026 at the Teatro Comunale in Soverato.
