Bizantiamoci

In the heart of the ancient Byzantine land, Stilo will host on 1 June 2025 the new edition of Bizantiamoci, a day entirely dedicated to the rediscovery of the Stilaro Valley, its millenary history and the artistic and spiritual heritage that has made it famous.

The programme kicks off at 10 a.m. from Piazza Luigi Carnovale with the Byzantine Tris, an itinerary that will guide participants to the discovery of three symbolic places:

• Hermitage of Santa Maria della Stella,
• Monastery of San Giovanni Theristis in Bivongi,
• Cattolica di Stilo, in the company of Prof. Francesco Cuteri.

At 5.30 p.m., in the evocative Church of San Domenico, the meeting "The Stilaro Valley: Spirit of the East in the West" will be held, a moment of discussion and reflection with the participation of scholars, institutions and researchers.
