A festival dedicated to poetry and the role of libraries as places for meeting and spreading culture. Taking place from 13 March to 13 September 2026, La Biblioteca di Calliope is a national festival for poetry lovers, which will be held in various Italian cities.
Organised by Macabor Editore and the poetry magazine Il Sarto di Ulm, this initiative aims to encourage poetry reading and draw attention to libraries as guardians of literary heritage and spaces for cultural exchange.
The first edition of the festival will involve eight libraries in various Italian regions, including San Demetrio Corone, Abano Terme, Pescolanciano, Frosinone, Genzano di Roma, Taranto, Canna and Cremona. These libraries will host meetings and events dedicated to poetry, with authors and readers in attendance.
The journey will culminate in Civita, at the heart of the Pollino National Park, with the festival finale scheduled for 12–13 September 2026, when all the contributors will come together.
By crossing libraries and territories, La Biblioteca di Calliope provides a cultural experience centred on poetry reading and dialogue between authors, readers, and communities.
