Museum of the Torre Zuvinu Farmstead

The Torre Zuvinu Farm Museum is located in Stilo, one of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages in the province of Reggio Calabria, along the Ionian side of the Stilaro Valley. The Torre Zuvinu Farm Museum is a unique rural cultural centre: it is a true demo-ethno-anthropological museum that offers visitors an exhibition itinerary dedicated to rural culture, traditional agricultural practices and the history of the farm that houses it, including the Genovese-style Olive Press and the Saracen Tower.

As a centre for interpreting the agricultural landscape and local biodiversity, the Torre Zuvinu Farm Museum tells the agricultural and social history of the Stilaro Valley through historical tools, documents, photographs and oral testimonies, reconstructions of work environments, exhibitions dedicated to ancient cultivars, historic olive groves and agro-pastoral practices, and thematic sections on water, rivers, mills and traditional hydraulic systems.

The Torre Zuvinu Farm Museum is an integral part of a territorial enhancement project that combines agriculture, culture, slow tourism and education through guided tours, itineraries for schools and groups, experiential workshops on agriculture, biodiversity and rural crafts, cultural and educational activities.
