Discover the authentic soul of the Grecian villages under the stars

Guided Tour
https://www.kalabriaexperience.it
From July to October, Calabria reveals itself in all its intimate beauty with “Under the Skies of the Villages of Greek Calabria”, the cycle of night excursions organised by Kalabria Experience to experience the emotion of an ancient, silent land, rich in stories.
This is an opportunity to get in touch with the essence of a little-known Calabria, off the beaten track, where every village, every alley, every rock hides a story, a facet, a memory to be discovered.
The night excursions will not be ordinary guided tours, but real experiences, where the night, the stars, nature and architecture will shape an intimate and evocative magic. Participants will be able to lose themselves in the silent streets, discover churches, castles, alleys and panoramas in a new light, almost as if on a timeless journey.
It is an invitation to experience Calabria with care, respect and attention, in contact with the people who inhabit it and who have been guarding its essence for generations. A programme for everyone, from photography to contemplation, from culture to nature, from trekking to art. A way to tiptoe into a land rich in stories, landscapes and flavours.
July
- 13 - Sant'Agata del Bianco
The suggestion of the village of Sant'Agata del Bianco with its murals will tell us of a historical and cultural cross-section full of twists and turns and evocative glimpses. - 26 - Ferruzzano Superiore
One of the ghost towns whose characteristics will lead us through narrow alleyways and evocative glimpses, where the lights of the coastal towns will seem suspended in the sky of a sometimes ghostly village.
August
- 14 - Brancaleone Vetus
This is the cult event of the summer: Brancaleone Vetus, a ghost town, will unveil its meanders, caves and hidden streets, illuminated by torchlight, for an exciting experience under the stars. - 30 - Rocca Armenia and Motticella di Bruzzano Zeffirio
After a major restoration, Rocca Armenia comes back to life as a place of memory. We will also stop at Motticella, an almost uninhabited village where silence reigns supreme.
September
- 6 - Bova
Bova, the moral capital of the Grecanica area, at 850 m above sea level, seems to touch the sky. A village rich in monuments, churches, art and views that take your breath away. - 13 - Staiti
This is the smallest municipality in Calabria, with just over 100 inhabitants. A stop on the Sentiero dell'Inglese (English Path), Staiti captivates with the medieval elegance of its streets, the Museum of Italo-Greek Saints and the authenticity of the village. - 20 - Gallicianò
It is the acropolis of Magna Graecia, where the language of the fathers is alive. A village with a Byzantine flavour, leading us to the spirituality of the cult of San Giovannello.
October
- 11 - Melito Vecchia
It is a short distance from the modern centre, enriched by art murals that tell the stories of this place. A village where art seems to be reborn at every step. - 18-19 - Palizzi Superiore and Calanchi
This is the last major event of the cycle. Palizzi Superiore, “home of Palizzi IGT wine”, seems to defy gravity with its houses clinging to the rock. After spending the night in one of the village's accommodation facilities, we will experience the thrill of an excursion to the white marl gullies, one of the territory's most fascinating geological landscapes.
