Travelling Roots

On 24 and 25 January 2025, Palazzo Gagliardi in Vibo Valentia will host a unique event in Calabria dedicated to the value of family roots and the discovery of places that tell stories and traditions. The first edition of ‘’Roots in Travel‘’ offers an extraordinary opportunity to explore the link between genealogy, tourism and cultural heritage through two days full of meetings, exhibitions and activities.

The event aims to rediscover family stories and enhance cultural and territorial roots. Experts in genealogy, archaeology and tourism will be present to guide the public on a journey of discovery of their origins.

Planned activities:

• Literary readings with Calabrian authors
• Round tables on genealogy, root tourism and cultural heritage
• Guided tours of the State Archives of Vibo Valentia
• Concert by the Nigun Clarinet Quartet, to conclude the event with a moment of music and reflection
