Tropea becomes the stage for a festival that combines art, inclusion and community

From 11 to 13 September 2025, Tropea will host the ninth edition of Teatro d'aMare, the festival promoted by LaboArt under the artistic direction of Maria Grazia Teramo and Francesco Carchidi. This year's theme will be 'Care in the contemporary scene', an invitation to discover the inclusive power of the performing arts as a tool for participation, social regeneration and shared growth.
For three days, the village and its historic centre will become a large stage for theatre and dance performances, live concerts, art installations, debates, meetings and workshops.
The festival will bring some of the most interesting acts on the national contemporary scene to Tropea, including C&C Company, Putéca Celidònia, Teatro La Ribalta, CTRL+ALT+CANC, Annalisa Limardi, Gommalacca Teatro and Santa Briganti, along with training sessions and site-specific projects that will transform urban spaces into places of connection and collective imagination.
Not only shows, but also workshops, performance dinners, installations and concerts: an experience that focuses on art as a universal language capable of breaking down barriers, creating communities and opening up new possibilities for encounter.
