Talkin’ Painting

On the occasion of the 21st Contemporary Art Day, the Ellebi Galleria e Dimora d'Arte in Cosenza presents "Talkin' Painting", the new solo exhibition by Giancarlo Montuschi, which opens on Saturday 4 October at 6 pm and runs until 16 November 2025. The artist will be present at the opening to introduce the public to his creative universe.

The title of the exhibition is inspired by American Talkin' Blues, transforming musical rhythm into visual rhythm and pictorial poetry. Montuschi's works mix pop icons, such as American cars and neon signs, with science fiction elements and cinematic scenes, creating a world that combines memory, irony and interstellar dreams.

The exhibition includes large paintings, works inspired by cinematic memories, interstellar dreams and a wall with 50 small drawings that tell intimate and precious little stories. The exhibition also includes the darker and more intense 'Pulp Stories' series, in which colour emerges from monochrome black, evoking noir and western atmospheres, between pop references and archetypes of collective memory.
