Summer School in Belvedere Marittimo

From 28 to 31 August 2025, Belvedere Marittimo, on the beautiful Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, will host the second edition of the Summer School “It can already be done”, promoted by the Lorodicalabria association, founded by journalist Francesco Verderami. This is a unique opportunity for training, discussion and growth, aimed at young Calabrian university students who are ready to get involved in building a possible future, here and now.

The title of the project – “It can already be done” – is a declaration of intent: not an abstract dream, but a concrete challenge. Doing business in Calabria is possible, provided you have the right tools, vision and a solid network to rely on.

Twenty-four students, selected through a call for applications from the three Calabrian universities, will participate free of charge in a four-day full immersion programme: lectures, workshops, mentoring, meetings with experts and entrepreneurs, public discussions and start-up simulations. Participants will be supported by tutors from the LUISS School of Government and will be able to develop business projects in working groups.

The Summer School is divided into three daily sessions:

• Morning: technical and project training with teachers and industry experts;
• Afternoon: direct discussion with entrepreneurs, media and sponsors;
• Evening: public debates with personalities from the economic and cultural world.

At the end of the experience, the association's Scientific Committee will award the best project presented with a scholarship and access to a national incubator. But the real novelty of this edition is the association's long-term commitment: new scholarships, financial instruments and concrete support to accompany the best projects in their implementation, even after the Summer School.
