Roman Age Day
A plunge into ancient Rome at the Scolacium Archaeological Park

Stage
Itineraria Bruttii
On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the National Museum and Archaeological Park of Scolacium, in Roccelletta di Borgia, will host a unique theatrical tour and living history experience dedicated to the Roman era. The event offers an engaging journey that reconstructs the daily life of Roman legionaries and the Bruzi people thanks to an accurate reconstruction of camp tents and objects used at the time.
The reception is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., followed by a visit to the Roman-Brettian camp, enriched by educational exhibitions dedicated to food and wine in antiquity, musical instruments, and traditional games. The educational activities continue with outdoor games and workshops, such as archery, to fully immerse visitors in the traditions and techniques of ancient peoples.
At 8:00 p.m., the first part of the theatrical tour of the archaeological park begins, followed at 9:00 p.m. by a second educational tour of the Roman and Italic-Brettian camp. At 10 p.m., the second part of the theatrical tour takes place, this time inside the museum, while the evening ends with ancient games and experiential workshops until 11:30 p.m.
The initiative involves the participation of Itineraria Bruttii onlus, Emergenti Visioni with historical theater, the living history group I Brettii, the Brettion Foundation, and the I Legione Gladius.
