Masterclass with pianist Jacopo Carlini

The San Domenico Cloister in Lamezia Terme becomes a venue where study, listening and musical sharing come together, hosting a piano masterclass led by Jacopo Carlini, organised as part of the Mousikè 2026 Artistic Season. Two days dedicated to music and training will offer students, musicians and enthusiasts the opportunity to engage with one of the most versatile pianists on the contemporary Italian music scene.

The event takes place on 10 and 11 April 2026 and offers a programme combining teaching and live performance. The programme begins on Thursday 10 April from 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm with the piano masterclass, a group study session in which Jacopo Carlini will share artistic experiences, interpretative techniques and useful tools for developing a personal musical vision.

Friday 11 April continues with individual lessons from 9.30 am to 5.00 pm, designed to explore in depth the work on sound, interpretation and the construction of the piano performance. The event will conclude with the concert “Dialogo in Musica”, scheduled for 6.30 pm, featuring Jacopo Carlini performing alongside musician Chiara Vescio. This public event will offer the chance to hear a live dialogue between different musical sensibilities, set against the evocative backdrop of Lametino’s historic cloister.

A pianist, composer and arranger, Jacopo Carlini is renowned for his ability to traverse different musical genres, from jazz to singer-songwriter music, right through to contemporary artistic production. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading figures in Italian music, including Ultimo, Giorgia, Riccardo Cocciante and Alex Britti, as well as having worked with the RAI National Symphony Orchestra.

His artistic experience, gained on stage, in the recording studio and in music production, makes this masterclass a valuable opportunity for those wishing to deepen their understanding of the language of the piano from a professional and contemporary perspective. Carlini’s approach is not limited to performance technique, but invites participants to develop an awareness of sound, interpretative identity and communicative skills.
