Spiaggia di Roccelletta di Borgia - Alessio Iapello

Immerse yourself in nature and history, discovering the authentic soul of Calabria and its most beautiful, crystal-clear blue sea. Roccelletta di Borgia, a coastal hamlet in the municipality of Borgia, in the province of Catanzaro, is known for its extraordinary archaeological and natural heritage.

The beach at Roccelletta di Borgia is a true paradise stretching for about 3.5 kilometres, and it is on this white sand that the rare sea daffodil grows. A very delicate and protected species, it is one of the most beautiful symbols of the beach at Roccelletta di Borgia and the unspoilt and wild Ionian coast of Calabria. A destination for everyone, it offers a variety of options, alternating between free beaches and equipped beach resorts. Behind the beach, a large pine forest offers coolness and refreshment on the hottest days. Roccelletta Beach is located opposite the Scolacium National Archaeological Park, the site that preserves the remains of the ancient Roman colony of Scolacium, including the forum, the theatre (capable of seating about 5,000 spectators) and the only Roman amphitheatre discovered in Calabria.

The soft white sandy beach is lapped by crystal clear sea with a seabed that slopes rapidly towards the open sea. It is an ideal place for families, children, young people and the not-so-young, thanks to a range of facilities that vary from free beaches to enjoy without restrictions to beach establishments capable of satisfying every need and desire, from aperitifs to entertainment for the little ones.
