In the heart of the Pollino National Park, amidst woods, mountains and unspoilt landscapes, “Experimental Sundays” is taking place – a series of creative outdoor workshops for children organised at Catasta, in Morano Calabro (CS).
The initiative takes place every Sunday morning from 15 March to 28 June 2026 and offers activities designed to stimulate curiosity, creativity and direct contact with nature. The workshops are aimed at children aged 4 to 11 and provide a free and safe space in which to play, explore and learn through experience.
The activities take place outdoors, using natural materials such as earth, clay, leaves, twigs, grasses and fruits. Children will be able to experiment with various forms of creative expression: from working with clay to making small objects from natural materials, as well as observation games, activities exploring the meadow and sensory workshops engaging all five senses.
During the sessions, participants are encouraged to invent, build, get dirty and have fun, transforming nature into a real creative workshop. The activities include a mix of free play, kite-making, weaving with natural materials, short explorations of the meadow and artistic activities inspired by the colours and elements of the landscape.
