On Tuesday 15 April 2025, Santa Maria del Cedro will participate in the National Made in Italy Day, promoted by the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy to valorise the production excellence, creativity and ingenuity that distinguish our country. A symbolic date, chosen to mark the birth of Leonardo da Vinci, emblem of Italian genius and know-how.
The municipality proposes a rich programme of events spread throughout the territory, involving enterprises, craft workshops and cultural venues.
In the industrial area, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the Alworld company will open the doors of its 7,000 square metre factory, specialising in the production of structural frames and facades for the building industry, to give an up-close account of a production process based on innovation, precision and attention to detail.
In the heart of the historical centre, the Opificio Calabria will welcome visitors with guided tours of the craft workshops (09:30-12:30 and 16:00-19:00), concluding the experience with a tasting of local products, between authentic flavours and tradition.
The Citron Museum, open 09:30-13:00 and 16:30-19:00, proposing a thematic itinerary dedicated to the ‘’Citron of Santa Maria del Cedro: excellence of Made in Italy‘’. A journey through history, culture and agriculture that highlights the identity of a territory and the value of a fruit that is a symbol of Calabria.
