Against the Mafia – Festival of Legality

A week of meetings, discussions and activities dedicated to promoting a culture of legality. From 16 to 21 March 2026, Castrovillari will host Contro le Mafie – Festival della Legalità (Against the Mafia – Festival of Legality), an initiative involving the city and the surrounding area in shared reflections on respect, responsibility and civic participation.

The festival aims to transform the theme of legality into a concrete, participatory experience. For a few days, Castrovillari will be a space open to discussion, with public meetings, workshops, shows and testimonials designed specifically for younger people and educational institutions.

Through dialogue with guests, educators, artists and representatives of civil society, the festival provides opportunities to discuss the themes of active citizenship and individual and collective responsibility in depth. Talking about the mafia means understanding phenomena that affect everyday life and strengthening awareness of the role each individual can play in building a fairer community.

The festival is promoted by the municipal administration of Castrovillari and is part of the city's calendar of cultural initiatives, representing an opportunity for open discussion involving the community and the local area.
