Fatti di Musica

After the opening with the shows of Enrico Brignano in Reggio and Stefano De Martino in Cosenza, the shortlist of live acts for "Fatti di Musica 2024", the 38th edition of the Live d'Autore Festival - Prize for Live Music conceived and directed by Ruggero Pegna, is taking shape. The format of the prestigious festival awards the Riccio d'Argento (by the famous Crotonese goldsmith Gerardo Sacco) to some of the most eagerly awaited live acts according to various sections. As usual, it takes place throughout the year, in winter and summer sessions, and in numerous locations in Calabria that vary in each edition, chosen for their cultural heritage, landscape, suitability of theatres and spaces, and synergy with the various municipalities.

On 1 May, the appointment is in Piazza della Resistenza in Praia a Mare with Ron's concert with free admission. The great singer-songwriter will also be on 23 June at the Teatro dell'Abbazia di San Giovanni in Fiore, on 28 June in Piazza della Cattedrale di Lamezia Terme and on 5 August in Isola Capo Rizzuto, all with free admission and organised by the respective municipal administrations.

On 25 May at the Grandinetti Municipal Theatre in Lamezia Terme there will be a concert by Luigi Strangis, the talented "Amici" winner, which has already been sold out for months.

On 24 July, one of those historic and unrepeatable events in Calabria: at the Teatro Al Castello in Roccella Jonica, there will be an exceptional live performance of Pink Floyd by the legendary founder and musician of the legendary British band, Nick Mason, accompanied by a super band made up of Gary Kemp (Spandau Ballet), Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd), Lee Harris (Blockheads) and Dom Beken (Transit Kings).

On 3 August we will move on to Reggio Calabria for Irama's live performance, eagerly awaited by the public not only of young people in the splendid setting of Piazza del Castello Aragonese. The same magical location on 9 August for the live show full of special effects by Gabry Ponte, the king of world dance.

On 8 August, Dargen D'Amico will be in Isola Capo Rizzuto with his hits, the best of eleven albums released, including the latest Sanremo dance hits.

Confirmed for Sunday 11 August is the concert by Sergio Cammariere and his band in the fantastic setting of Piazza Campo, in front of the imposing Norman Castle, in the historic centre of Santa Severina (KR), one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

From 12 to 14 August, the Fatti di Musica caravan will move to the Port of Catanzaro Lido for three free-entrance live shows included in the Sapore di Mare Festival: Los Reyes of Gipsy King, Nino Frassica and Los Plaggers Band, Max Gazzè and Calabria Orchestra respectively.

Fatti di Musica 2024 will conclude with a rich autumn/winter session: Grease the Musical - 23 and 24 November at the Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro and 25 and 26 November at the Cilea Theatre in Reggio Calabria - the return of Stefano De Martino at the Politeama Theatre in Catanzaro on 6 December and, finally, in the same Politeama from 19 to 22 December the show Alis, the spectacular Grand Gala of Le Cirque Top Performers with stars of Le Cirque du Soleil.

Other confirmations are expected.
