Belvedere Marittimo renews one of its most cherished traditions with the Belvederese Carnival 2026, scheduled for 14, 15 and 17 February. Three days of festivities will enliven the town centre with parades of allegorical floats, music, shows and entertainment, involving residents and visitors of all ages.
The protagonists of the 2026 edition will be nine carnival groups, who will bring to life a rich calendar of events distributed between the historic centre, the marina and the main squares of the town.
The programme opens on Saturday 14 February with the gathering and the first grand parade of floats, which will cross the historic centre to Piazza Generale Dalla Chiesa. The day will continue with entertainment and will end in the evening with a musical show. Sunday 15 February will be dedicated to the second parade of allegorical floats, starting in the morning and arriving in the heart of the city. The afternoon will be enlivened by concerts and musical entertainment open to the public. Tuesday 17 February, the final day of the Carnival, will feature the last parade and the traditional allegorical procession to bid farewell to the 'Defunto Carnevale' (Deceased Carnival), one of the most deeply rooted symbolic moments in local tradition, accompanied by music and entertainment.
