There is a place where the seventh art merges with the millennial history of Magna Graecia: it is Crotone, which once again this year hosts the Calabria Movie - International Short Film Festival, now in its sixth edition.
Born in 2020 from the vision of three young Calabrian authors - Luisa Gigliotti, Matteo Russo and Antonio Buscema - the festival is now an international cultural event, which brings short films from all over the world to the stage and turns the spotlight on independent cinema, current affairs and rights.
For four days, the "City of Pythagoras" becomes a point of reference for authors, industry professionals and enthusiasts for four days, offering a rich programme of screenings, talks, exhibitions, music and meetings with directors and filmmakers. At the heart of the event is the international short film competition, a mirror of the creativity and languages of our time.
Calabria Movie is also a tribute to the territory, its identity and beauty, and is designed for those who love cinema as a tool for reflection and change.
