In Scalea, autumn lights up with "Autumn Festival – Families in the City", a packed calendar of events that will accompany the city from late September to November, celebrating the season with music, art, tradition and 'non-technological' games.
The programme kicks off on Saturday 27 September with 'Goodbye Summer – Città di Scalea', a day enlivened by live music, classical concerts, magic shows and street performers, as well as more 'rock' moments with the Beer Festival and DJ sets. Throughout the evening, it will be possible to visit Torre Talao and places of worship, which will be open especially for the occasion.
October brings colour and creativity with the impromptu painting event 'A Scalea, i suoi colori' on 5 October, the tradition of Calabria Pumpkin Village on 12 October and a special event for children on 18 October with The dromedaries are coming to Scalea. The month ends on 31 October with entertainment and magic for Halloween.
In November, the celebrations conclude with moments dedicated to faith, art and taste: painting exhibitions, the chestnut festival and events to rediscover traditional games. In particular, 9, 16 and 23 November will feature 'The magic of non-technology', with snacks of candyfloss and popcorn, inviting young and old alike to share in the pleasure of games from days gone by.
