Antiquarium of Cimalonga Tower
Museum
Museum
The Museum, established in 1987 and set up in 2004, exhibits archaeological finds from the archaic to the Roman period, showing the population of the territory of Scalea and Santa Maria del Cedro, ancient city of Laos.
The Antiquarium is housed in an old defensive Tower of the sixteenth century and displays objects in glass cases drawn from the ancient mouths of fire of the Tower, with chronological order: from stone tools to Torre Talao (Middle Paleolithic), through the objects of the community settled on Petrosa Hill between VII and VI century AC, until the findings of Ponticello, from Roman times.
