Italian Chilli Pepper Academy

The Italian Chilli Pepper Academy is a non-profit organization founded in 1994 in Diamante, by the initiative of the journalist Enzo Monacoper to deepen and spread in Italy the "culture of spicy". The intent is precisely to make known the chili (arrived in Italy from the Americas by Christopher Columbus), its history, culture, quality and its many uses. The Academy, which spread rapidly across the country, promotes the study and research on the production of pepper, with particular reference to the field of gastronomy, cosmetics and pharmacology.
