Gagliardi Palace

Gagliardi Palace in Vibo Valentia is an important historical building in the city centre, venue for cultural events, including the Leggere&Scrivere Festival. The original palace, owned by the Gagliardi family, was designed by Giovan Battista Vinci in the late 18th century, on the area occupied by the Church of Saints Mark and Luke. In 1860, Giuseppe Garibaldi stayed there (as recalled by the plaque on the façade). Gagliardi Palace came into the Municipality's possession with a donation in 1953.
