Vibo Film Festival

On 30 November 2024, the historic Palazzo Gagliardi in Vibo Valentia will be the setting for the Vibo Film Festival, an event celebrating cinema, culture and local flavours. The day will include moments dedicated to film screenings, meetings with directors and actors, exhibitions and activities combining art and tradition.

Scheduled appointments include the screening of the film Il Vuoto (The Void), followed by a talk with the director, producer and cast, as well as the presentation of the David di Donatello-winning short films Fuligine and Bismillah, accompanied by interviews and a special award ceremony as ‘Excellence Vibonese’.

The event will be enriched by a musical intervention and a show cooking dedicated to the traditional dish ‘Tappatumi’. The two exhibitions set up, one dedicated to the film material of Ciakalabria and the other, Opera Sacra, with blow-ups depicting significant moments of cultural events, will offer a space for reflection on local art and traditions.

The day will end with a festive Movie Party, perfect for celebrating cinema in a convivial and engaging atmosphere.
