On Saturday 29 November 2025, at 9:15 p.m., the Badolato Municipal Theatre will host 'Giuseppe', a show by the Ultimi Fuochi Teatro company inspired by the works of Giuseppe Bonaviri. Orazio Condorelli will take to the stage, directed by Alessandro Miele, for an intense monologue that traverses territory, memories and imagination.
The story follows a young doctor who, in search of a new meaning in his life, sets off on a space mission. A distant journey, which however becomes an inner return: between dreams, memories and deep ties to his homeland, impossible to abandon even when the horizon opens up to the universe.
The show is the result of research dedicated to the work of Bonaviri, an author capable of uniting distant worlds: the archaic and the modern, the microcosm of small villages and the vastness of space. A narrative that intertwines his voice with testimonies collected in the villages of Salento, reflecting on universal themes such as identity, nature and the time that passes through our lives.
