Sunset at the Black Cave

On Sunday 27 April 2025, enjoy an immersive experience amidst nature, history and authentic flavours: a sunset hike to the impressive Black Cave of Frascineto in the heart of the Pollino National Park awaits you.

At an altitude of 800 metres, along a recently restored path accessible to all, we will reach one of the most fascinating places in the area. A route of around 250 metres in height difference that winds through unspoilt landscapes, accompanied by the warmth of the local community and tales of the area's myths and legends.

But the excursion will also be a journey into flavours: along the way, tastings of typical products and wines from local wineries will await us, for a complete sensory experience, immersed in the colours and scents of the sunset over the Pollino.

What to bring: comfortable clothing suitable for walking (trekking shoes and poles, fleece sweatshirt, windproof jacket, head torch, hat and at least 1L of water).
