On Sunday 13 April 2025, enjoy a unique experience to immerse yourself in Greek culture and Easter traditions of Calabria without the stress of driving. On the occasion of Palm Sunday, the Magna Graecia Train will take visitors to Bova, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, to witness the ancient rite of the procession of the ‘Pupazze’.
It will be possible to take part in a guided tour of the village's symbolic places, from the Grotta degli Innamorati to the ‘Gerhard Rohlfs’ Museum of the Greek-Calabra Language, up to the ruins of the castle for those who wish to go further afield. An unmissable opportunity to discover history, culture and traditions in a unique setting. The experience will end with a homage to the village's railway past: a stop in front of the historic 740 054 steam locomotive, monumented in the main square.
Departure by train from Catanzaro Lido and intermediate stops along the Ionian line.
