Santa Claus on a motorbike

Christmas lights up with solidarity and joy with the event ‘Santa Claus on a motorbike 2024’, organised by the motorcycling community ‘I Compatti’. The main event will be held on 15 December 2024, starting at 14:30 from Piazza Italia in Sant'Eufemia and arriving, at 15:30, on Corso Numistrano in Nicastro, which will be completely pedestrianised for the occasion.

The day will be enlivened by activities for young and old, all aimed at raising awareness of road safety and solidarity:

• First steps on a motorbike: children will be able to experience the thrill of riding in total safety with certified instructors.
• Road safety simulations, organised by the Polizia di Stato (State Police) and the Associazione Italiana Vittime della Strada (Italian Road Victims Association), with a drink-driving simulator.
• Distribution of candies and toys: over 200 kg of sweets offered by Silagum and 250 gifts to make children smile, thanks to the support of the Ronald McDonald Association.

But the magic doesn't stop there! In the days leading up to the event, the ‘Compacts’ will be taking their commitment to the entire Lametina community:

• 1 December: Solidarity lunch with Caritas and presentation of the innovative ICE Tag device for motorcyclists' safety.
• 10 December: Festive moments and gifts for the children of the ‘Lucky Friends’ association.
• 11 December: Day of inclusion and fun at the ‘Girasole’ association.
• 12 December: Special visit to the paediatric ward of the John Paul II Hospital with gifts and entertainment.
