From 23 to 29 June 2025, the Museo d'Arte del Bosco della Sila - MABOS will host the first artist residency of the Sense season, a project that has been enlivening the terraces of the open-air museum with contemporary installations and poetic visions for eight years.
The protagonist of this first “Stanza di Vita Immaginaria” is Turin-based artist Enrico Iuliano, professor of sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Foggia, known for his research into plastic language and the dialogue between form and environment. Accompanying and “inhabiting” his installation will be the voice of the Bolognese poet Bartolomeo Bellanova, whose literary style intertwines ancient and contemporary influences in a dense and evocative language.
In the green heart of the Sila Catanzarese, visual art and the written word merge, breaking down all barriers between disciplines to generate new forms of empathy towards the landscape and the memory of places. The 2025 edition of Residenze Sense pays tribute to the figure of photographer Mario Giacomelli, a great interpreter of 20th-century Italy, with a programme that will feature artists, poets, critics and photographers.
