San Cosmo Albanese is a small Italo-Albanese centre that lies on the northern slope of the Sila Greca and on the southern edge of the Sibari Plain, surrounded by a charming scenery of olive trees and the typical hilly landscape. The village is organised on an urban layout with a rather elongated plan, a sort of course with paved pavement ending with the Parish Church that divides the village in two and on which stand historical buildings of great importance to the village. The oldest part has a typical Arbëreshë layout consisting of alleys and narrow lanes, decorated with stone arches and small arches, and this Albanian centre preserves traditions typical of ethnic minority communities.

The Pro Loco of San Cosmo Albanese has chosen to use the historic centre for holding summer events, taking into account the socio-environmental resources of these spaces. The main objective is to improve the population's quality of life, creating services and opportunities that discourage the abandonment of inland areas and counteract social disintegration; the events were chosen to attract tourism and enhance the ancient village.

On 10 September it will be the turn of the Colli Albanesi bike tour, to rediscover the beauty around the village while immersing oneself in nature.
