In the heart of the Sila National Park, in Cava di Melis, a hamlet in the municipality of Longobucco, stands the Highest Vineyard in Europe, an experimental project born from the dream of young Emanuele De Simone and his farm Immacolata Pedace.

The experience begins with a guided tour of the Giants of the Sila, and then continues with the discovery of the vineyard, an area of 20,000 square metres immersed in nature. Participants will be accompanied by Emanuele himself to discover the vineyard, where top-quality wines are produced, characterised by great freshness and aromatic intensity, made unique by the typical aromas of the Sila. The visit will also be an opportunity to learn more about the concept of Eroic Viticulture, an agricultural practice that requires special skills to operate in difficult conditions such as those in the mountains.

The experience will end with a tasting in the cellar of the wines produced, all with Protected Geographical Indication (PGI), allowing visitors to appreciate the unique flavours of this land. An unmissable opportunity to discover high-altitude viticulture immersed in one of Calabria's most evocative natural settings.

Every Saturday and Sunday until October 2024.
