From 21 February to 27 April 2025, the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria is hosting ‘’Cyprea: The Network of Aphrodite‘’, an exhibition that interweaves contemporary art and archaeology to celebrate the cultural link between Italy and Cyprus through the mythological figure of Aphrodite.
The exhibition comes to the MArRC with an itinerary that explores the concept of kalokagathia, the ideal of beauty and ethics that has influenced generations and cultures. Curated by Giorgio Calcara with the Artistic Direction of Stefania Pennacchio, the exhibition presents the works of eight outstanding artists: Stefania Pennacchio, Nicola Verlato, Rosa Mundi, Gabriels for Italy, and Vassilis Vassiliades, Panikos Tembriotis, Eleni Kindini, Lefteris Tapas for Cyprus.
