From 28 June to 28 September 2025, the Sibari Archaeological Park will host an intense and visionary photographic exhibition: Claudio Abate x Copia–Copiae. A unique visual journey that combines fragments of antiquity with the restless and refined gaze of Claudio Abate, one of the most important Italian photographers of the late 20th century.
Installed on the elevated walkway and panoramic terrace of the park, the exhibition features powerful and textured shots: bodies, glass, wine. Images that tread the line of ambiguity, questioning the concept of copy, aura and originality. An immersive experience, in which photography becomes a bridge between past and present.
The project inaugurates the Copia–Copiae exhibition, which will bring contemporary art to the archaeological parks of Calabria in dialogue with the historical and cultural layers of the territory. The Sibari Park, a millennial crossroads of civilisations, opens the exhibition with an installation that also recalls the evocative summer exhibitions dedicated to wine and nature, from Linfa to Vinitaly and the City.
