The 20th edition of the festival dedicated to open-air art-house cinema, ‘Cinema and Cinema’, opens the 2024 edition of Lamezia Summertime, the historic summer event that traditionally hosts cultural and artistic events and shows within its rich programme, divided into several sections.
New this year are more screenings, eight, every Tuesday and Thursday until 13 August. For the first time, a food area will be set up in the garden of the Barisco River Park, with quality street food accompanied by the excellent beer of Lamezia microbreweries, to promote an appreciation of the activities that are growing in the area. Finally, the guided walks in the historic centre will be repeated, but this time they will be nocturnal.
The event will be inaugurated on Thursday 18 July and will include a selection of films that have won acclaim and awards at national and international festivals, offering an in-depth look at the most recent film productions.
