Calabria Fashion 2025: between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary creativity

On Friday 12 and Saturday 13 December 2025, MARCA - Catanzaro Museum of Arts will host Calabria Fashion – Calabria Fashion – Tradition and New Visions, an event celebrating Calabrian creative talent and craftsmanship excellence.
The first day opens at 6 p.m. with the inauguration of the local designers' stands, where master craftsmen and young fashion designers will engage visitors in free workshops dedicated to discovering fabrics, tailoring techniques and sustainable innovation. Among the protagonists are Francesco Servidio of Sartoria Forbici d'Oro, Gennaro Santillo of the historic shirtmaker Santillo 1970 and Rocco Vitaliano, founder of Vitaliano Couture, together with students and emerging talents from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catanzaro.
On Saturday 13 December, from 6 p.m., the MARCA Cloister will become the stage for an immersive fashion performance: lights, installations and collections reinterpret the memory, identity and beauty of Calabria through a dialogue between tradition and modernity.
The experience will be rounded off with a talk featuring leading figures from the world of Calabrian fashion and art, including Antonio Affidato, Salvatore Migale, Emilio Salvatore Leo and Franco Arcuri, who will discuss the ethical and identity-related role of creativity in the region.
The evening concludes with an After Party open to the public: live music with the Tchaikovsky Jazz Trio & Friends and tastings of sparkling wine and finger food prepared by local chefs, pastry chefs and ice cream makers, transforming the Cloister into a place for meeting, celebrating and sharing.
