On 12 October 2025 at 6 p.m., the Marca Museum in Catanzaro will host the national premiere of Heiner Müller's "Material for Medea", a powerful new work conceived, directed and performed by Agata Tomšič with the ErosAntEros theatre company.
After more than ten years of engagement with the work of Bertolt Brecht, the company returns to the stage with the legacy of another master of contemporary theatre. Heiner Müller, Brecht's spiritual heir, revolutionised theatrical language by blending myth and reason in a disruptive dramaturgical plot capable of giving voice to wounds, dreams, cruelty and utopias.
With music and sound design by Matevž Kolenc, costumes by Bàste Sartoria and technical direction by Vincenzo Scorza, the show is a radical and evocative theatrical experience. A 'Medea' that offers no immediate answers, but provokes questions, encourages reflection and invites the audience to immerse themselves in a language made up of images, emotions and universal tensions.
