Another idea of being - The network of hospitable communities of Calabria

The network of Calabria's Hospitable Communities is a co-planning experience involving local administrations, associations, third sector actors and citizens. It is a path of social regeneration that aims at enhancing the material and immaterial heritage of the territory, to invent new forms of attractiveness, far from the logic of predatory tourism.

With the network of Calabria's Hospitable Communities, the villages become places to be experienced on a daily basis. Not "postcard villages" but communities capable of retaining resident citizens and welcoming temporary ones, thanks to actions and initiatives that put people at the centre, generating value and stimulating the economic and social growth of the territory.

The network includes the Hospitable Communities of Canna (CS), Casali del Manco (CS), Gizzeria (CZ), Laino Castello (CS), Melissa (KR), Miglierina (CZ), Roseto Capo Spulico (CS), San Lorenzo Bellizzi (CS), Serrastretta (CZ). During the event, the 9 villages will present themselves and tell about the projects that have enabled them to become "hospitable systems".
