The village of Amantea and its hamlets have once again been adorned with color and cheer for Carnevale del Tirreno, an event that has become a shared celebration for the entire area over the years. The festivities span several days and encompass various parts of the town, transforming the streets into vibrant spaces of celebration, participation, and creativity. The parades are at the heart of the event and are the result of the hard work of groups, associations, and citizens who have once again devoted their time to creating the floats and choreography that accompany the parade.
On Saturday and Sunday, February 21 and 22, 2026, Amantea will host the traditional parade of allegorical floats. This event marks the official start of the Tyrrhenian Carnival, enlivening the city streets with colors, music, and entertainment. On Saturday, February 28, a new parade of allegorical floats will take place in Campora San Giovanni, bringing the festivities to the neighboring area.
It is a rich and engaging program that renews a historic tradition, uniting communities, promoting the area, and encouraging a spirit of celebration along the entire Tyrrhenian coast.
