From 26 to 28 July 2025, at that magical moment when the sun touches the sea and the light softens, When the sun goes down Fest comes to life, an immersive cultural experience that intertwines theatre, nature and listening.

In the evocative Park of Knowledge and Wellbeing in Pellaro (RC), among the hills overlooking the Strait, the festival offers three evening events – always at 7.15 p.m., with only natural light – to consciously experience the twilight and let its silent energy wash over you. The programme:

  • Saturday 26 July – “Tre piccole ombre” (Three Little Shadows)
A work by Massimo Barilla, with Salvatore Arena and Massimo Barilla, in a production that is also a theatrical ritual, with words and original music by Luigi Polimeni.
  • Sunday 27 July – “Magarìa. Elegia di un mondo perduto” (Magarìa. Elegy of a lost world)
A visionary journey through memories and roots, created by Eliana Iorfida and Francesco Gallelli, with live music, masks, sculptures and immersive atmospheres.
  • Monday 28 July – “La maledizione del sud” (The Curse of the South)
A powerful and contemporary story by and starring Pierpaolo Bonaccurso and Fabio Tropea, blending words and music to explore the shadows of our time.

All events are free, with reservations required until capacity is reached.
