Walk among the olive trees in San Marco Argentano

On Sunday 26 October 2025, San Marco Argentano invites everyone to participate in the 9th National Day of Walking among the Olive Trees, an event that combines nature, culture and wellbeing under the banner of peace and conviviality.

The initiative invites young and old alike to spend a morning immersed in the olive-growing landscape of the area, discovering the thousand-year-old tradition of extra virgin olive oil. The route, about a kilometre and a half long, will take participants through the olive groves of Contrada Manca Castagna, in a relaxing experience suitable for everyone. During the walk, there will be a stop at Emanuele Occhiuzzi's oil mill, where it will be possible to observe the stages of EVO oil production up close, from the harvesting of the olives to the pressing.

The day will end with a wholesome snack of bread and extra virgin olive oil, a symbol of simplicity and sharing, to celebrate the authentic flavours and deep connection between Calabria and its land.
