Municipal Museum

It was founded following the donation by Sir Mario Morelli of art works to the city. It is located inside Palazzo Santa Chiara and is also home to the municipal government offices. Important elements include a painting by the great Guido Reni and prestigious canvasses of the Neapolitan school as well as a few drawings by Carlo Levi and Bruno Cassinari. Recently important works by the sculptor and medallist Eduardo Bruno were exhibited here, as well as valuable scale reconstructions of major Sammachese monuments by the miniaturist Antonio Ciardullo.
