On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., the Unical Auditorium Theater in Rende will host “Venere Nemica” (Venus the Enemy), a show starring Drusilla Foer accompanied by Elena Talenti. A theatrical event that combines elegance, irony, and depth in a stage narrative with a strong emotional and intellectual impact.

Inspired by Apuleius' famous fable “Cupid and Psyche” , the show offers an original reinterpretation of the classical myth, transporting it into the contemporary world through a theatrical language that masterfully oscillates between tragedy and comedy. The great universal themes of ancient storytelling are interpreted in a modern key, addressing current dynamics such as the competition between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, the relationship with fading beauty, maternal possessiveness towards children, and the age-old conflict between men and gods with lightness and intelligence.

The show, written by Drusilla Foer herself together with Giancarlo Marinelli, is directed by Dimitri Milopulos and artistically directed by Franco Godi. The character created and played by the Florentine artist is characterized by a refined stage presence and a narrative style that blends old-fashioned elegance with modern sensibility, giving life to a theatrical journey that alternates moments of introspection with passages of subtle irony.
