From 1 to 3 November 2024, ‘’Truffles and Mushrooms of the Pollino‘’ returns to Campotenese, an unmissable event celebrating the natural and gastronomic heritage of the Pollino National Park, recognised by Unesco as the cradle of the Made in Italy truffle. Organised by Catasta, the event includes excursions, cycling, exhibitions, workshops, markets with quarrymen, and themed dinners. It will be a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the autumn foliage, discover the search for truffles, and taste typical mountain specialities.

Programme:

Friday 1 November

9 a.m.: Foliage cycling in Campotenese, a walk through the colours of the autumn forest
6 p.m.: Inauguration of the mycological exhibition ‘Il grande patrimonio epigeo del Pollino’, curated by mycologist Antonio De Marco
8 p.m.: Themed dinner ‘The Sea of Sibari, the Pollino forest’ with chef Antonello Rugna

Saturday 2 November

9am: ‘Fungo Trek’ photographic and mycological excursion with Antonio De Marco and Gaetano Sangineti
9am: ‘On the truffle paths’ excursion with Francesco Belcastro and Domenico Cersosimo
3pm: Foliage cycling in Campotenese by Masistro Park and Buddy
11am-7pm: Market of quarrymen and mushroom growers
7pm: Mountain pub-style evening with BBQ, sandwiches, focaccia and DJ set

Sunday 3 November

9 am: Foliage cycling and autumn walks with Antonio De Marco and Gaetano Sangineti
9 am: Excursion to the Piano Novacco beech forest with Francesco Sallorenzo
10 am: Autumn walk in the monumental Masistro beech forest with Andrea Vacchiano
10.30 am: Multi-sensory play experience ‘Trallallà: the Kingdom of Zigo, Asco and Basidio’ for children

There will be tastings with mushroom and truffle dishes every day at 12.30 p.m.
