The Sanseverino family of Marcellinara in Aragonese Calabria

On 25 October 2025, Marcellinara will host a unique event: a historical re-enactment of the feudal investiture of 1445 and the marriage between Nicolò Sanseverino and Giacomella de Rodia, moments that marked the birth of the fiefdom of Marcellinara. The baronial palace and the town's main square will become the stage for an immersive journey through history and theatre, where historical reconstruction and emotional involvement come together to offer the public an unforgettable experience.

The artistic direction is entrusted to Giuseppe Scerbo Sarro, a Marcellinarese passionate about history and theatre, who brings to the stage the tradition of immersive theatre already experimented with in previous years, supported by the technical and administrative management of G2c.

To make the atmosphere even more evocative, performances by the Besidias Flag Throwers Group from Bisignano and medieval music by the Kalenda Maya ensemble will accompany the performance, transforming the village into a living stage where art, culture and tradition come together.
