The village of Donnici, a historic hamlet of Cosenza known for its traditional Grape and Wine Festival, opens its doors to a new experience: on 3 and 4 October 2025, the first edition of Sagrette will debut, an event designed to celebrate the pillars of Calabrian peasant culture.
Sagrette focuses on three symbolic elements of our tradition: wheat, oil and wine. Bread, a primordial substance; wine, a vital force and 'nectar of the gods'; oil, the green gold of the Mediterranean and a sacred plant since ancient times. In the picturesque setting of the Borgo Riolo Country House in Donnici Inferiore, the public will be able to enjoy two days of tastings, seminars and meetings dedicated to these foods, the pride of the Donnici D.O.C. There will also be music, storytelling, banquets and artisans to create an authentic and convivial atmosphere.
