The Norman Night

The town of Chiaravalle Centrale is preparing to host an extraordinary event that will transport visitors back in time to medieval times. On 9 and 10 November 2024, the streets and squares of the town will come alive with the historical re-enactment ‘The Night of the Normans’, an unmissable opportunity to immerse oneself in the atmospheres and traditions of the past.

Saturday 9 November - 4 p.m.

• Piazzale Liceo: Opening of the medieval camp, where young and old can enjoy games and themed activities. The day will be enriched by an exciting competition between the Deer, Owl, Wolf and Hawk groups, who will compete in tests of skill and dexterity.

Sunday 10 November - 4 p.m.

• Piazzale Liceo: Departure of the historical procession that will cross the streets of the town, arriving in Piazza Dante. Here, visitors will be able to attend theatrical performances, musical performances and mediaeval dances, which will recreate the atmosphere of times gone by. The procession will then continue through the historic villages, finally returning to Piazzale Liceo, where the festival will continue with music, dancing, fighting and fire games.
