On Saturday 17 January 2026 at 9 p.m. and Sunday 18 January at 5.30 p.m., the Cilea Theatre in Reggio Calabria will host 'The Merry Widow', Franz Lehár's famous operetta, with the Compagnia Corrado Abbati and the Balletto di Parma.
The show, directed by Corrado Abbati with choreography by Francesco Frola and musical direction by Alberto Orlandi, celebrates the light-heartedness and smiles typical of operetta, transporting the audience into a world of reassuring emotions, waltzes, can-can and diplomatic intrigues resolved with lightness and joy.
With stage design by InScena Art Design, the production invites spectators of all ages to share in the enthusiasm and celebration, breaking down the distance between stage and auditorium and making the experience a moment of pure joy and involvement.
