On 31 October 2025, at 4 p.m., the National Archaeological Museum of Sibaritide will open its doors to young people for a unique experience: 'The Last Journey: the Ancients and the Afterlife', a special afternoon where history meets the mystery of Halloween.
Designed for children aged 8 to 12, the initiative combines discovery and play in an evocative atmosphere. Participants will be able to try their hand at a simulated archaeological excavation to discover how the Greeks and Romans accompanied their loved ones to the afterlife, engrave their name on a collective stele, and end the day with a fun 'Baby Horror Dance'.
Children and parents are invited to participate in costume, inspired by the ancient gods, archaeologists or ghosts of the past. An original opportunity to approach the ancient world in a creative and engaging way. At the end of the activity, each participant will receive a 'Junior Funeral Archaeologist' certificate.
