On 5 October and 16 November 2025, the Giants of Sila will host "The Gardener Tells", a special event offering visitors the chance to learn about the habitat of this protected area and discover the secrets of the undergrowth at one of the most evocative times of the year.
The protection and maintenance of this extraordinary place, entrusted to the FAI by the Sila National Park, follow strict rules aimed at protecting biodiversity. Preserving the majestic monumental trees also means safeguarding the flora and fauna that inhabit the site. During this period, the undergrowth comes alive with the kingdom of fungi, silent but fundamental protagonists of the ecosystem.
These and many other anecdotes will be the focus of the story told by Gianluca Cardamone, Head Gardener of the Giants of Sila, who will guide visitors on a two-hour experience to discover the natural heritage of the Reserve.
